Amb. Tufail K. Haider

Mr.Tufail K. Haider is the Shareholder Director of GSP investments Limited. He obtained his BA (Honors) 1965, and M.A (1966) in political Science from University of Dhak.  A career diplomat of thirty five years standing, Ambassador  Mr.Tufail K. Haider participated or represented Bangladesh at numerous international meeting and conferences. Principal forums of his participations were Summits of Non-aligned Movement (NAM), Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), the Commonwealth, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and the Global conferences of UNCATD, UNGA, UN Human Rights Commission, UNESCO and International Conference on Population and Development (IPCD). Mr. Haider started his career as Assistant Professor in political science at Jagannath University College (1967-1968).Thereafter he has contributed his services to former Pakistan Foreign Service (PFS) (1968-1969), Section Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, Pakistan, (1970)Third Secretary, Embassy of Pakistan, Bonn (1970-1971), Second Secretary, Embassy of Bangladesh, Bonn (1972) Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, (1977-1978), First Secretary, Embassy of Bangladesh,Warsaw(1978-1980),Counsellor, Embassy of Bangladesh, Moscow (1981), Counsellor, Embassy of Bangladesh, Belgrade (1982-1983), Counsellor, Embassy of Bangladesh,Tokyo (1984-1986), Consul-General of Bangladesh to Dubai and Northern Emirates, United Arab Emirates (1987-1989), Director General, Americas and Pacific Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka (1990), Chief of Protocol, Government of Bangladesh (1991-1993), Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Arab Republic of Egypt (With concurrent accreditations to Sudan, Ethiopia, Greece and Cyprus) (1993-1996), Ambassador of Bangladesh to France, with concurrent accreditation to Portugal and Permanent Delegate of Bangladesh to the UNESCO, Paris (1996-1998), Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Islamic Republic of Iran, with concurrent accreditations to Lebanon, Syria and Turkmenistan( 1998-2002), High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Republic India (2002-2003), Senior Adviser to Regional Director, WHO/South East Asia Regional office (SEARO)New Delhi (2004) accordingly.
